when does 4 hour EASY change.........?????????

hello please can someone help me?
My DS is 6 1/2 months and he normally feeds every 4 hours from 7.30. he is such an angel; baby and too has his breakfast lunch and dinner (still on purees though). but recently he is not interested in his 2nd bottle of milk at 11.30 just wondering when you combine the 2nd and 3rd bottle into one or does he still need to have the 4 bottles a day. and is too young yet to transition.

At this age milk is still their main source of nutiritian, so would definitley persist with the milk for a little while longer.

How much is your lo eating for breakfast?  Could you perhaps cut down on the amount he takes for breakfast to see if he starts showing more interest in his milk?

We dropped to 3 bottles at around 8 months, and kept 3 bottles until DD was a year then we went down to two milk feeds.

hi thank you! i have tried both!!!! just giving him his milk without any cereal and he drinks 5-6oz before hes had enough, and if i give him his cereal then his milk he only drinks maybe 4-6oz if im lucky. but still at his 2nd bottle 11.30 he only wants 2-4 oz 5 if im really lucky.

like today i never gave him his cereal first i just gave him his milk and he drank 6 oz and then at his 2nd bottle time he only wanted 2 oz!!!! surely this cant be enough milk for him?? he then had his lunch and he ate every last mouthful.

Have you tried giving it a little later, say at 12:00?  Giving him a little bit of extra time to get hungry for it?

How much cereal is he having?

hi i will try giving it 1/2 hour later, but the last two days he doesnt seem interested in his milk at all, its always a struggle to get him to drink it

Have you tried to give your lo some milk in a sippy with lunch?  This may help you get an extra few oz into him, plus getting him used to drinking milk out of a sippy.
