Premature Baby - When to start EASY?

Hi,

My DS was born early at 34 weeks and we brought him home at 37 weeks. He weighs 3kgs and is waking to eat every 3 - 4 hours on his own.  He is formula fed and its taking about 90mls at each feed.  I make sure that he is back down for a sleep as soon as we feed, burp, and do a diaper change.

I did EASY with my first son and want to do the same with my second.  When is an appropriate time to start EASY with a premature baby?  Should I wait till he is 40 weeks to start or do I start now?

TBH, I think you could probably start EASY right now.  Remember that EASY isn't about strict timings etc, it's just a rough routine to help your lo settle more easily and know what's coming next.  Following his cues and incorporating those into a Eat, Activity, Sleep pattern should be fine straight away.

Exactly what Jo said. (That's twice I've agreed with her now!  ) My 2 were prem also and EASY was a life-saver for me!
If you look at what you have written

Thank you very much ladies. EASY was a lifesaver with my first one and he was an Angel/Spirited baby. I am looking forward to learning my 2nd one's personality to see how I can continue to adapt EASY with him.
