11 month old nap question
« on: February 02, 2009, 11:53:36 am »
Hi all my LO is almost 11 months old.
For the past few months he has been doing the following:

6.30am - wake
9.30 - sleep
11am - wake
2.30 sleep
3.15pm wake
6.30 - bed

But recently he is wanting to take a longer nap in the afternoon - he is crawling a lot and standing all the time - he is also cutting back teeth, doesn't seem to be in pain though! :)
My questions is should I let him take the longer nap and just move the bed time to a little later or should I keep the schedule as is?

Thanks
Amy

Is he still taking the same morning nap?

How does he seem at bedtime when you have let him sleep longer?

Yes still taking the morning nap - he seems just as tired at bed time - but I have been extending the bedtime to compensate for the longer nap this means we are no longer doing 12 hour days but more like 12 hour days with really good naps! what are your thoughts

If you have extended and he has not become OT but still taking those good naps and they too are not affecting night timesleep I would continue as you are. Sounds like you are doing great.
