habitual wakening
« on: February 11, 2009, 00:27:52 am »
I believe that LO has a hit a habitual wakening at night around 3 a.m.  The past 3 nights he has woken between 2:50 and 3:10.  We are able to get him go back to sleep in about 30 minute increments and then I feed him at 4a.m.  Any suggestions to break the 3 a.m. night wakenin?

What would happen if you just fed at the 3am waking instead of waiting til 4? If he's habitual and he's not hungry, you could try Wake to sleep at 2am.

I did the wake to sleep and he slept until 4:15, right through the 3 a.m. wake up he has been doing. I will keep doing it for the next two  nights and see where we end up!  He acutally fell back to sleep while I was preparing his bottle for 4:15, so I let him sleep to see when he woke up again and it wasn't until 5:00!
