Hmmm, that's interesting to know (about the EW).  When she does have an earlier bedtime, it's not that much earlier, maybe 30 minutes earlier.

Hey, so she slept until 2:45pm!!!  That's AWESOME!  I heard her stir at the 1.5h mark (at 2pm) and I held my breath but she made no more noise until she started babbling at 2:45.  So I'll assume she slept until then!  Maybe she does need the longer A time in the morning.  I'll try again tomorrow. :)

nice nap!  Way to go.

Interesting about the EWs.  How early is early?  Since we went to one nap James barely makes it to bedtime so we have been putting him down about 15min early and he wakes in the morning about 45min early...is that why?

I don't know Natalie...maybe? ;)

No EW today, I'm not sure what time she woke but pretty sure it was after 7.  So I'm going to go for nap at 1pm instead of 12:40.  It's strange how less than a month ago she was doing 4h A time before nap, then 5.5h on one nap was almost too much and now she needs almost 6h!?!?!

Good luck Angela :)

Natalie - it could be a combo of the bedtime and maybe he just needs less sleep now? You should be able to eventual push that bedtime back.
The only reason I think it's just the less sleep thing is he was waking early before the switch too, right?

Sher, you are right he was.  I forgot  :P  The earlier morning doesn't bother me so much, he is happy in his crib while I shower.

I tried 1pm for nap and she cried when I put her down...yesterday she fell asleep in my arms so today I thought she was starting to fall asleep so I put her in the crib.  She cried and couldn't settle down so I had to rub her back until she fell asleep.  Was 1:13 when I left her.  Maybe 1pm is too much?

So she either goes to sleep on her own but wakes up after 1.5h, or she is slightly OT, needs help to sleep but takes a longer nap resulting in a better bedtime.  which is better? ;)

What about 12:45 for a couple days then push it back to 1?

Lets take an average of a 7:45wake up...so 5hours 15min first A time

angela, may move the nap up in 5 min increments so she doesnt get OT. if she naps longer later then i would definitely work towards napping at 2pm.

natalie, i was going to suggest same as sherry, could be the early bedtime plus needing a little less night sleep. you could also try and push the nap 15mins later if he can handle it. whenever hunter does a few ew in a row i move the nap back 15mins and prob solved.

Well, she's not napping that much longer, but since I'm putting her down later, she's waking later and that makes bedtime a bit more easy on us, not so rushed.  Yesterday she napped from about 1:10 to 2:50 and today she slept a little later (to 7:25am, woke when I went in her room) so I put her down around 1:05 and she fought it a bit but then she slept from 1:10 to 3pm.  Much better than a 2pm wake up!

Well at least bedtime is getting easier.  You never know, maybe she will start lengthening the nap out.

Natalie - I meant to ask you. You said you are having a bit of bedtime issues, have you thought to move it back up to 8 again. Now that he has been on one nap a little longer? Maybe, even though he seems tired he is ready to go down later again and that would help? And then maybe he would wake a little later again too?

Angela - So today did you do 3-7:30 or 8 bedtime?

Just wondering because Lyle did 2-7 and he seemed to cope well, but it took him 30 min to go to sleep, but there was no fuss. Just took a while to settle to sleep.

Sherry, since she woke at 3pm and she is still fighting her cold (she had a little temp at bedtime), I had her down shortly after 7pm.  She always seem to take 20-30 minutes to fall asleep anyway.  And she fussed a bit tonight when I put her down so I stayed in the room for 20 minutes until she was quiet.  Not sure if she was asleep but at least calmer.  WI/WO never worked for her in the past, and I hesitate to do it when she's not feeling 100%.  So how is Lyle doing - did he do one or two naps?  I read on the BC that he had a really early wake up yesterday?

Sherry, before the last two days of absolute screaming (definitely think it is SA) I was thinking about pushing bedtime back to 8.  Because of the screaming he went to sleep more towards 8:30-9 anyway.  I think DH had him down at 8 tonight so I am going to make him stick with it so he hopefully doesn't wake up early in the morning.
