My baby almost always wakes from his nap wanting to eat...even if his nap is only 20-45 minutes long. I tried to make him wait, but he just freaks out. And, will spit out his pacifier he gets so angry that we're trying to fool him. What do I do?

If he's hungry, I would feed him.  How old is he?  Can you post your EASY routine?  Is he bf or bottle fed?  It's possible he's in a growth spurt and is waking early because he's hungry.

He is breastfed, and is only 5 weeks old. We did have a growth spurt at 2, but now it seems different since it's lasting more than 2 days. I don't have a clear EASY regime yet... I was trying to feed every 3 hours at 10, 1, 4 and 7 and hoping to adapt the EASY routine to fit that schedule. Though, maybe it's impossible right now.

He's really young to be all sorted out on EASY yet.  And many, many ebf babies cannot go 3 hrs yet.  I know with Abby, I fed her anywhere from 2-3 hrs depending on her hunger cues.  At this age, it's far more important to nurse him frequently to build up your milk supply and nourish him than to have set 3 hrs between feeds.  So if he's waking hungry, go ahead and feed him.  Remember, EASY is a routine, not a schedule, so even if you're feeding times vary, you are still following the pattern of eating, having some activity (even if it's just eating, diaper change, wind down), then sleeping.
