Questions on W2S
« on: March 09, 2009, 10:03:03 am »
Hi

Am trying to extend my LO's naps, and have decided to try W2S, but I have a couple of questions.

I have just put him down for a nap and stayed in his room to make a note of the time he went to sleep. First question: Do I go from the time he closes his eyes, or the time he stops his wriggling and his breathing gets slower? Next: Do I go in and rouse him slightly from his sleep every 25 mins throughout his nap, or should doing it just once be enough to extend his nap from his usual 45 mins? Lastly: When this technique starts to work (I know it may take some time, not expecting miracles) how long should I carry on doing it? Or will I have to carry on forever?

Thanks very much

Sarah

You only need to stir LO once, but you may have to experiment with the timing though. You will need to do it at LEAST three days before seeing results. Some people have done it for a week or even two to ensure it sticks.
