I found that it did. Ours usually took longer to GET to sleep and found it harder to STAY asleep because they couldn't breathe well. Those transitions that they usually got thru OK were disrupted by the breathing issues (stuffy and/or coughing). Elevating the crib (maybe putting the 2 head legs on a brick) and using a humidifier can help. Also, saline drops in the nose & some suction before sleeps sometimes helps.
