1:00-nap
4:00-snack
ktchen play while i make dinner.  stacking, sorting, magnets on fridge, help with dinner
6:00-dinner
reading, bath, teeth, quiet music
8:00- bed

hmm, i wonder if i'm putting him to bed too late.  We aim for around 8pm, but it usually ends up being around 830-845!!  He doesn't wake up during the night and sleeps till 730 in the morning, so i'm wondering if that would change if i put him to bed earlier?  I'm going to aim for 8:15 in bed lights out tonight, and see what happens.

Hmmm, let's see... My toddler is a bit older (2 1/2), but this is his routine, give or take:

7.30 - 8am - wake up
8.30am      - breakfast
play indoors or get ready for a toddler group at 9am
10.30am   - snack
toddler group (they tend to go from 9-11.30am) or else play at home or park
12 noon      - I prepare lunch while he might either play or watch a bit of TV as downtime
1pm           - lunch
1.30 pm      - this used to be our slot for a nap but he often doesn't want one now. Instead we either play or if he is tired we might watch a bit of TV or read a book. If necessary I also run errands in this slot, with the added benefit that he might fall asleep in the car after all.  ;)
A couple of times a week we go to a short toddler group with some singing and crafts activities from 2pm to 3.30pm.
3.30pm      - play at home. Maybe a walk to the duck pond to feed the ducks.
4.30pm      - start preparing dinner. He will either play in the lounge or kitchen, or, if we've been to a toddler group until 3.30pm and he is tired he may watch a bit of TV.
5.30pm      - dinner
6pm          - evening programme
6.20pm      - upstairs for his bath
6.50pm      - bedtime story books
7pm          - bed

Just looked through this - it reads like there is a lot of TV watching, but it's not really like he watches it in all the play slots during one day. He just sometimes likes to have 15 minutes here or there for a bit of down time when he comes back from a toddler play group or while I'm preparing food.  ;)
