Quick question.....wake or leave to sleep?
« on: June 02, 2009, 14:08:50 pm »
My 3 month old is sleeping very late this morning.    She is still asleep at 9 am and she is usually up by 730 or 8am.    Should I leave her?  Will it affect her going to sleep tonight?   She had a regular night sleep last night but I did put her down earlier than usual last night.

I also wonder if she transitioned from her regular sleep to a nap?   I'm so confused.

Oh goodness, I would vote to wake her within 1/2 hour of her normal time if has a fairly predictable routine.  Since it sounds like you're already past that, I'd let her sleep until she wakes naturally and then plan her next nap based on A time.  If it were my LO, it probably wouldn't affect the next night sleep, but might make it harder to get naps.

She is a 45 min napper anyway.    Normally she would've woken at 8am and gone down at 9am for nap.   She woke at 930am and is a happy baby.    She did stir so I wonder if she transitioned from sleep to nap?    I did try to put her down at 730pm last night.   She slept for 15 min woke, got back to sleep in 20 min then woke after 40 min, ate went back to sleep.   Very unusual for her but Im trying to get her to go to bed earlier than 9pm.    She won't stay asleep until after 9pm.
