I am here to report on a decent nap finally.  2.5hrs and I had to wake her up.  But I put her down at 1.30  :o :o :o

The night was great until around 3.30 when she started moaning and screaming.  So I thought 'nurofen' like the previous night.  SHe went back to sleep only to wake up again at 5.30 for the day ~sigh~  I left her in the cot until around 6.30 when DH went to get her and she was soooo angry at him pffft.

Anyway am going to try the 1.30pm nap again tomorrow. Hopefully it was not a fluke.

Hey Charm - I was following along and then I forgot to come check the boards and not just my posts.

*hugs*

I'm glad the nap was better today.

Paula -Our naps are fine. Just getting EWings.

I keep wanting to push bedtime back by he's  so ready for bed at 7:30 every night.

Charm,  can I add that I've been doing a 1pm the past few days instead of 12pm, and guess what no more playing before nap time, and he's been napping really well, 3 hours and 2 hours!   When he goes down fo rthe npa his itredness seems nice and ripe, not UT or OT.  Maybe he had upped his A time!!     Anyway, if he's teething or sick the nap time has t come earlier of course.

Ah well she woke up at 6am this morning.  But at least she was happy to stay in her cot and chat to her toys.  I think she must have fallen back to sleep at some point (or maybe I did  :P) cause I finally went to get her at 7.10 and she was so happy.  Nap was at 1.30 again.  She did 2 solid hours...but woke up in a bad mood   ???

Do you think I should try to make bedtime 8 instead of 7.30?  I am sure she could handle it well because she always chats for a while before she falls asleep at bedtime.

Sherry at what time is Lyle napping now? And how early are the EW's?

Eloise sometimes I think that to avoid both UT and OT they need to be a bit exhausted.

Charm - I was actually going to recommend pushing back bedtime. I think that might have something to do with the NWs.

Our earliest EW has been 4:20, but I'm almost positive it is because he's naps are too long. I just can't bring myself to cut them. I tried pushing the nap up last week to as close to 12 as I could possibly get him but he still had EWs and we just ended up in OT hell as is our normal when ever I try to push Lyle too hard. So the only thing left is to cut the nap and to commit to cutting the nap. So I went back to putting him down when he needed it. And the last few days have been much better. Wake ups of 6-7.

He had a horrible NW last night and sure enough there is a new tooth there today. So I'm just waiting for the end of teething to be here. We have a couple of molars and a couple of eye teeth, so we have a couple more of each to go :)

no harm in trying the later bedtime, I know alot kids at this age that go to bed at 8pm.

Great that she had the solid nap too

J is still napping well at 1pm for two hours and sleeping 730pm till 7am.  After the once a week nap refusal and months of short naps it's a relief.

I hope that she gets back on track quickly for you!
