2 wk old. question about cluster feeds
« on: June 17, 2009, 04:05:22 am »
We're just "starting as we mean to go on", you know?  DD #2 is just over 2 weeks and I've been thinking about cluster feeding in the afternoons, but I've tried it the past two days and she doesn't take full feedings because she's so tired from the catnaps.  I'm concerned about my milk supply (because they feel SO full by the time we get around to her taking a full feeding) and I just don't know if the cluster feeds are working for us.  Any other suggestions?

The Cluster Feeds and Dream Feeds don't work for every lo.  If you feel that your lo is not taking much from the cluster feeds, then let her sleep until her next normal feed, and see if she takes a bigger feed.  Give it a few days on the new routine and see if it makes any difference to your nights.

Good luck, keep us posted.
