I can't seem to get a profile pic

I have gone to the user cp page, clicked on the profile link and then clicked on the download my own picture.  From there, I have clicked on browse and found the pic that I wanted.  The file name appears in the space but when I click on change profile it thinks about it and then the space is blank. 
How do I download a pic?

The picture you intend to use should be no bigger than 165 pixels by 165 pixels in size.  If you picture is larger than this you will need to resize it using your photo editing software of choice.  The optimum size for display on the forum is 165 pixels high by 120 pixels wide.
