What would you do?

As we speak (approx 9am in Toronto) my 10 week old DD is still sleeping.  She went to bed at around 9:30pm last night.  I tanked her up but did not do a dreamfeed.  She woke up at 2am and was grunting so I picked her up and put her on the breast.  She ate for 3 minutes.  Obviously she wasn't hungry.  She did the same thing around 5:30am.  This time she ate for 5 minutes.  It is now 9am and she is still sleeping.  Should I wake her to eat?  She is not crying when she wakes in the middle of the night - just grunting which I beleive are her efforts to break free from her Miracle Blanket and/or gas.
Is it OK for her to go this long without food in the middle of the night?

Hi Giorgina,
Our Lo was sleeping thru at this point and at this stage didn't have a DF.(that's another story).
She is a few days off 11 months old! and fit and healthy adn didn't suffer as a result of sleeping and not eating....iykwim ;)
I reckon don't fix what ain't broke! And be very pleased that she is sleeping thru atm
 ;)

how much does she weigh? i've heard that once they pass 10lbs you don't need to worry about waking them up...just follow their lead. i have to admit, i'm a bit jealous as ds1 took 9 months to sleep through the night and now i'm back in the throes of nursing every 3 hours all night long!

i would think, though that if you want your day to begin at 9, then go ahead and wake her to feed her. just to keep your routine going :)

Hi Ladies,
She woke up 15 minutes after I posted.  She's really not sleeping through the night as she wakes up twice.  But since she is not crying I will take that to mean that she does not need me and let her be.  I'll watch to see what happens.  Last night she woke up at 3am and I could hear her smacking her lips so I knew she was hungry.  She took a decent feed then.  Thanks for you help!
