kittycase---I have yet to find an AP that works
I took LO out in the baby bjorn the other night b/c he was soooooooo overtired. I walked for about 45 minutes before he'd fall asleep, and then slept 30 minutes. I have tried nursing to sleep which doesn't really work since I have a forceful letdown and he tends to gulp a ton and gets a lot of wind, hence gas, which makes it worse. Reflux---well, a lot of the symptoms of overactive letdown are the same symptoms as reflux, so hard to know. But he is on Zantac right now, but it's not really doing much?
He just seems unable to settle.
I know what you mean about it controlling EVERYTHING. That's how I feel it is right now. My 3 year old is stuck at home, we don't go to the park anymore like we used to, b/c if we go out, LO gets overtired b/c of no sleep. I find that the SHORTER the A time, the better. Like even 35-40 minutes and he usually sleeps better, so that REALLY limits what we can do.
I am trying to really be consistent with the feeding every 2.5-3hrs. I've been doing that for awhile now.
Sometimes if he is super tired, holding him tight and bouncing him and swaying at the same time can get him to fall asleep after awhile, but will only sleep a max of 30 minutes that way.
