Hi,

I'm new to the thread but I've been practicing what the baby whisperer has been teaching ever since my baby was born..... My little one is teething late and we aren't sure what to do with her night teething.....

After we give her oragel and tylenol do I then start walk in/ walk out? or what do I do? I want to give her comfort but after what we went through following a vacation, I don't want her to get  back off track. After we went on a vacation she had a hard time sleeping while we were there and so we held her until she fell asleep... then she started demanding that once she was home. So we had to do walk in/ walk out and she's doing great now!! Back on track.. But how can I help her and comfort her while avoiding getting off track again?
Thanks soooooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!

Hi!

Poor LO suffering from teething! How bad!
Have you noticed her having problems during the day or this just happens at night?
I was thinking that this could be SA too.
IMHO, if WI/WO worked for you first time, why not give it a go again?
DD is 16 mo now and I remember her having some episodes of SA or teething or don't know exactly what but I ended up WI/WO and even sometimes, cuddling her and holding her to sleep.
My thought is that as long as this teething clears up, you need to get things back on track so that she doesn't get used to having mom close to her to fall asleep.

HTH

She's been miserable during the day too... And I can see her front tooth partially cutting through. So I know its pain. :(

I'd offer meds 30 min before sleep times so that they have a chance to work before it's time to sleep.  For NWs, we would always re-medicate (if it was time) and then do wi/wo if we needed to.  since she's responded well to it in the past, she most likely will in the future.  We would actually keep her in the crib and give her the medicine in her crib, and 95% of the time then she'd just lay down and go right back to sleep.  If not, usually only 1 or 2 times of wi/wo would do it.
