So ds is 2 and 1 month. There has always been a single bed in his room and last year I got some Bart Simpson duvet covers and Cars covers and have lots of animal cushions on the bed . DD slept in it one or 2 nights before we went on hols so they could get used to sharing a room.
2 days ago at naptime he kind of asked me if he could sleep in there but I just ignored him and told him it was his bed for when he was big.
Today at nap time he was insistent. " Me sleep in Kians bed" so I said " yes you can sleep in your cot" " No me sleep in big blue bed" and off he went to get his 2 dolls ( old ones belonging to dd which he started sleeping with in the last week) and his doggy which he just started sleeping with. I told him he had to be good, not to move, and no sleeping bag. And in he went. He was so excited.
I had to wake him after an hour and a half, longest nap in ages. He looked so cute and he played in the bed for an hour after. I had told him he was to sleep in his cot tonight but he wanted the big bed again. So he is in there
I hope it lasts.
So high chair gone, looks like cot will be gone soon, buggy practically gone, after our last shopping trip where he insisted on pushing it empty and into everyone I said thats it. Soon I will have no baby stuff in my house except the monitors
Would say I am looking foward to this stage but dd who has slept in a blacked out room all her life has suddenly developed a fear of the dark, but thats another post.
