It's good. He falls asleep by himself. I just put him down in his crib, put the music on, make a special sound that indicates it's a sleep time and leave the room.
During the long nap he wakes up after an hour. I go to his room put the music on, make the sound and leave the room. Sometimes he cries for 3-5 min but than falls asleep.

That is great news :)

I hope pushing out the bedtime with a longer nap works. Good luck.

For the last 3 days we made some progerss.
1st day - bedtime 8:45 pm - wake time 5:50 am (9.05 hours of sleep) + 1.55 naps (catnap & long) =11 hours total

2nd day - bedtime 8:30 pm - wake time 6:20 am (9:50 hours of night sleep) + 1.35 naps (both naps) = 11:30 total

3rd day - bedtime 8:30 pm - wake time 6:50 am (10:20 hours of night sleep)

He is getting up later BUT I'm not sure that he does b/c he is adjusting or b/c his naps are getting a bit shorter.

I think it is a combination of both. But at least things are making some sense, right? Is he happy in the morning? Lyle is also doing 10h20m at night right now, and he is doing great. In fact, when he gets more we start having trouble with his nap.

How's he doing during the day with the naps. Is he happy going down, waking up, etc.

What did the second day look like in actual routine form? Curious to see what you did for the naps.

The second day routine:

6:20 am              wake time, bottle, breakfast
10:00-10:35 am   short catnap (after 3:40 activity time) usually I do 4 hours but right now less b/c he is more tired.
2:35 -3:35 pm     second nap (after 4 hours of activity time)
8:00 pm             starting bedtime routine
8:30 pm              asleep

His activity time is shorter in the morning and gets longer as the day goes on. It's been always like this. I tried moving it around but it didn't work. He is going down fine for his naps and bedtime. Never wake up happy (haven't happened yet). Always screaming dosen't matter how long he sleeps.

Also, I let him sleep as long as he wants during naps (especially catnap). I just focus on morning wake up right now and will adjust the naps when the time changes (in November) and he gets use to 7 am (this is my goal). Than I plan on having one nap and putting him down earlier. But that's down the road.

Lyle is the same way. He's always been shortest A time in the morning. Still is. He hovered at 5 hours A time for months after transitioning and he just now moved to about 5h15m how that his nights have gone back to 10 hours.

Yet he can do 6 hours, no problem before bed. Which is good since his morning A time is on the low side.

I hope he keeps this up for a month for you. That would be nice come time change. Ours changes in Nov also, but we go back in time.

I hope he continues to be kind to you with those wake ups.

Are his nights good right now, no NWs?

Nights are good even though he is teeting right now (lucky). He stared sleeping through the nights since he was11 months.

How long is your LO sleeping during the day time?

Today Alex slept for 40 min catnap and only one hour long nap. Since he is waking later in the morning all his naps moved as well. So his catnap was at 10:30 am and the second nap at 3:10 pm. He woke up tired after the second nap b/c he was crying for a while. I tried put him down again but I didn't push too much as it was already 4:10 pm.

I don't mind pushing his naps later in the day b/c this will allow me to move his bedtime to 9 pm. With the time change in 4 weeks this will become 8pm and his wake time at 7 am (my goal) will be at 6 am.

I`m going back to work in 3 weeks  :'( so I`m working on the time change right now.

Sorry to hear you are going back to work :(  Must be so hard. Also to just work so hard on his sleep and then who knows what will happen when you go back to work.

Right now he is doing 2 hours during the day.

And he's nights fluctuate between 9-10.5 :(

It was 9 last night so we got a 5:30 morning :(  Hopefully it was just teeth.

Well he had an EW yesterday, and then only a 1 hour nap. So early bedtime.

10 hour night. I think the thunder woke him at 5:22. Fought me going down for his nap :(  He's already woken once, but he put himself back to sleep. Not sure if I'm going to wake him or not at 2 hours :(

So glad to see how things have turned up for you.

I've been out as we've been moving - but I'm so thrilled to see that things are going better!!!!  You've come a long way and to see that he's getting 12 hrs total sleep now is truly wonderful.  You've done a great job!!!
