Bday present for 2 yr old????
« on: August 24, 2009, 22:20:27 pm »
Have to get out shopping for a gift for a 2nd birthday party in two weeks. Any suggestions? Oh....and from what I can gather....this little girl has, well, ummm, everything! (1st grandchild etc. etc. )

Thanks in advance!

we got DS1 a play tent (for indoors) for his second birthday and he still loves in on rainy/sick days and he's nearly 4.  Not sure about girl stuff - have 2 boys.

How about some Fisher Price Little People stuff?  My daughter is almost three, but was and still is into play with these types of toys.  Another fun idea is to fill a gift bag with all sorts of crafty things - glue, scissors, glitter, markers, pom-poms, pipe cleaners, paper, etc...  Books are also great - my dd current favorites are the Alfie books by Shirley Hughes.  My dd's favorite gift at two was her tea set - it came with napkins and all!  If she likes to help bake you could get her an apron, oven mitts, and a mini baking set.  There are also some great cookbooks for kids.

Also very neat ideas. :) I think I will go out to Target or Toys R Us and see what pops out at me. I don't know about the cooking/baking, but the little people and the crafts seem like a good choice. I remember seeing some of those little people sets and have heard great things about them.

Thank you!

DD (now 2,5 y/o, my ticker is broken) got a kitchen for her 2nd birthday and it was/is a big hit.
Little people, Duplo and playdoh are also great choices here.

Have fun!
