45min naps still at 4months
« on: September 03, 2009, 08:00:05 am »
Hi

My 18week old little girl is still only taking 45 min naps even after extending her A time so i have been told its most probably a developmental issue. Do you know at what age this is likely to sort its self out?

Also i am managing to extend the naps most of the time, is this going to help her to extend herself without my help?

Yes, everything you can do to help her sleep longer now will help her to a) avoid becoming overtired and b) sleep longer by herself sooner. BUT remember not to rush in if she isn't crying. She may just fuss for a little while and settle herself back to sleep.

I think most of them are managing longer naps by 6 months.
