Yes - the zips go about halfway down the side from the top, so if they do wriggle under they can get out at the bottom.  It does seem to be really well designed!

Didn’t read some of the other posts so sorry if I repeat anything. My plan was to keep dd in gro-bag for as long as possible but she started pulling it off and jumping all over the cot so switched to a duvet. An idea I heard was to put the gro-bag on backwards. As long as the neck isn’t too high I think this would be great but I had already switched over.
To switch..it was summer here so I got a light duvet/coverlet but put PJ's/nightdresses on DD in case it fell off.
I named her coverlets...one had bunnies on it so I'd say lets cuddle up and go to sleep with the bunny family…. and we 'd pretend to be quite to let the bunnies sleep. I also made a big deal about tucking her in snugly which she still loves.
Fro the first two nights it took her longer to settle but then she was fine, I check her every eve once she is asleep and at first I had to replace the duvet every night but she is getting much better and I didn’t really worry as she had pJ's on.
This week she changed to a bed again sooner than I planned too but on holidays in one of our relations she had to sleep on an air matress and she stayed there all night so I decided to make the switch at home..so far so good..but I think getting her used to the blanket in the cot really helped.
Anyway HTH

Hi,

since it's spring here in Australia and grobag duvet is on sale now... can I ask you if you think you can use it as top sheet is spring/summer and then put a fleece blanket on top for cooler nights?
I may move my DS to a big bed in the next few months and it's better to have all I will need before then.

thanks
g

I would have thought it would work as a top sheet, but you could just put the duvet inside the cover in winter rather than putting a fleece blanket on top.  Having said that, when I tried to take the duvet out so that dd1 just had the cover in the summer she pitched a fit and wouldn't get in until I put the duvet back!  ::)

Just a thought...what about those all in one fleecy sleepsuits - over a babygro if necessary?  At least then they can't kick it off?  Another thing I read a long time ago was putting the sheet on the wrong way so there's more to tuck in at either side - or maybe a single bed sheet rather than cot sheet - just watch number of layers though?
