We had a strange day today b/c of allergist appt. My mom took Ava for a skin test. She had a systemic reaction of a rash all over her body rather than just the hive on the spot that was tested. She was given benadryl and even though had dozed on the way there for about 5 mins. and on the way home for maybe 10 or 15....she napped from 1:45-4:00pm!!!! Knocked out from the benadryl. SOOOO now I don't know what to expect for tonight. Although she is not acting tired now the way my mom said she was earlier even though she had another dose (per the doctor's recommendation). Going for a late bedtime but nervous about NWs from UT.

Yikes.

I just want to know why don't they like to sleep in the morning????? :P  5:30am is awful! Sending you a big hug Liz.
I am in bed latest 9:30pm because I never know what time she will wake up. I am hoping for a nice wake up tomorrow.

What I don't understand is, I have a friend whose little boy just turned one yesterday and he has been on one nap for over a week now. His mom pushed out his morning nap drastically and quickly and was fine. Also, he sleeps at least 11hours.  What is that about? The funny thing is that he has a late bedtime-9pm. ???

Nicole and Greenteamomma: sending you big hugs and good vibes for tonight.

Yuck!!!  They are ganging up on us now, aren't they?

Sabs...I see you had a 1hr20m nap...I have been getting those a lot, and also have been struggling to tell whether they are OT or UT.  I'm thinking UT for us, because he woke so happy and refreshed, plus they were following 11.5 hr nights.  So, if I get another 11.5hr night, I will extend that A a bit...have not had 11.5 hr nights the past few nights, though! I'm lucky if I get 11.

He fought pm nap on Monday, and finally went to sleep from 5:10-5:40, I woke him.  It was a messed up night, though!  I think a cn that late messes up his nights.  Yesterday, we were out all day, so he had a  40m am nap in the car and a 30m pm nap in the car...YIKES!!!  He went to sleep at 7:35, but was up chatting from 5:20-5:30, and then I heard a few moans in between then and 6:35, when I could tell he was up for good.  He was so grumpy this morning, and today was my 10-11 exercise class.  I put him down at 8:30 to see if I could get a cn in before we had to leave.  Sure enough, he was asleep at 8:50, but I had to wake him at 9:10 to get ready to leave.  He was super tired on the way home, so I decided to save lunch for after a nap and just give him a quick cup of milk.  He was asleep at 12:10, and 1hr later is still sleeping.  He had a cry out at 12:45, but it literally lasted for about 5 seconds, and then nothing.  Hoping he can catch up and has a good night tonight!  Tomorrow I will be home, so he can get his full am nap.

Hugs, everyone!

babyboy: I think they are UT if they wake up happy ::). I hope I can get a 11.5hour night. We got an 11hr night last night, so I am happy.

I had to wake Madi this morning at 7am. I am not sure if I should of let her sleep in.  After a morning nap of close to two hours, she didn't want any lunch and was very very cranky.  She cried and cried and cried and was burning up.   :o  I brought her the pediatrician and it so happens she has a cold.  Poor thing. All she wanted to do was sleep in my arms. Her A before her pm nap was oly 2.5hours.  I hope this won't reinforce an EW. I know she needs sleep to get better.

Sabs-Poor Madi. Now you'll be on hold until she feels a bit better. :(

Babyboy-I think you're right...those 1 hr. 20 min. naps are probably UT if he's happy and had a good night before it. :)

So....Ava was up around 3 am until 4 something...She'd fall to sleep and then be up and cry and fall asleep and be up and cry so I won't count it as sleeping b/c it was so broken up and the times she was sleeping were like 2 min. spurts. I finally brought her to our bed to lay down thinking if she settled there I'd put her back in her crib and she did fall asleep and stay asleep there and I put her back in her crib and she slept til morning. I heard her cry at 6:45. All in all after a 9pm bedtime (wasn't tired before then b/c of that weird late and long nap) she only had a 9 hr. 45 min. night and subtract an hour for her NW time...UGH. Then she only napped 1.5 hr today!!!! BLECH.

Sabs---Hope your lo feels better soon!!!

So, yesterday, after that short 20m am catnap that I gave him before my class, he slept from 12:10-2:15...with a brief wakeup after 35m.  I was thinking, GREAT!!!  Until this am...he went to sleep at 7:30, but then at 5:10, some quiet moaning for about 15m, then he would get quiet for 10m, moan, get quiet for 5m, moan...etc, etc, until 6:35, when he chatted until 7.  Quiet until 7:10, chatted, quiet from 7:15-7:30, then every 5m a quiet moan until 7:55...it's 8:10, and he's been quiet for 15m now...I have absolutely NO IDEA how much sleep he was actually getting during all this time...what is this?????  He never cried, not once, which is why I have left him in there, hoping he was going back to sleep.  I don't know what today will be like...no idea what to do for A times, etc...any ideas???

Babyboy and hjrmom: sending big hugs. I hope they feel better soon. It is awful when they don't feel well. :'(

Madi is feeling a lot better today.  She napped two hours this morning and was happy during her A times.  She went down for her pm nap at 4:20pm until 5pm- I woke her.  I was going to put her down at 7:30pm, but I had company over and it was closer to 8pm when she went to bed. Now she is fussing and fussing. It is almost 8:30pm and she is still not sleeping. Why couldn't hubby put her down if he knew I was busy???? :-X I am sure we will be getting an EW tomorrow.

Sending everyone hugs and good sleeping vibes for tonight.

Hah! Tell your hubby that now that you have a child you'll probably NEVER be happy b/c it will probably NEVER be perfect. Us moms are such perfectionists.  hehee

So of ALL places for Ava to take a GOOD nap....it was at the sitter's that she never goes to (back-up for when my mom is away). She told me that Ava napped from 12pm-2:30pm today. Now if ONLY she'd do that every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Let's just hope for a good night with no EW since we keep having those. But I was happy when I picked her up b/c I was certain she wouldn't sleep there and then she did her best nap of the past two weeks or more there. Weird.
