If EW's, should she be going to bed earlier?
« on: September 16, 2009, 20:53:10 pm »
Hi,

I can't figure this out!

DD is waking early.  She is sharing a room with DS at the moment (we are renting) and the noise from the road and birds is waking her...nothing we can do at the mo, but we are moving house in to a lovely quiet cul de sac 21st October.

So if she wakes early, should she be going to bed early?  She is never grizzly!  I know she should be having around 11.5hours at night and 2-2.5 hours nap.

She was napping for 2 hours religiously (even with the EW's), then last week she started napping for 3, yesterday was 2 (but that's because DS woke her accidentally!)

W - 5.45-6.00 ( I try and leave her in her cot for quiet time until 6.20-6.30)
Bottle and breakfast
Play
L - 11.30 lunch
Nap - 11.45-12.00  (Will wake her at 2 hours if she sleeps past it)
D - 5-5.15
Bath - 6.00
Bottle
Bed - 7.30

So as she is waking at that early time, what should her bedtime be?

I'm a bit unsure about her activity too.  I don't think she gets enough sometimes.  We seem to be dropping DS backwards and forwards and I'm always on the go, so would EW be due to not enough A/Play time for her?

I am so confused!

It used to be 7am.

It's happened since we emigrated from the UK in July.  Plus, her and her big brother are sharing a room, we're on a main noisy road as well.  We're moving next month to a quiet haven!  ;D So I'm hoping I can sort it out then, if not sooner!

I just wondered if she should be going to bed earlier?

Her routine is:

5.45-6.15 wake (I leave her in her cot until 6.30)
11.30 lunch
12.00 nap for 2 hours
5.00 dinner
6.00 bath
7.30 bed.

She constantly wakes early!
