more than a few toys at once?

In Tracys book she recommends no more than two toys for a child to play with, however Caleb just loves his box of toys and will pull the box over so all the toys tip out and he rummages through them. is this ok? i dont want to overstimulate my child or confuse him.

I think at 8 months when lo's are starting to get mobile and are into everything it is fine, I would imagine that is more for small babies, I know even at 3 months my dd could only have one toy and only for a few mins but by 8 months she really liked to be surrounded with as much to do as pos!

I agree, once they are mobile it really isn't a big deal since they can just move away if they've had enough!  :)  DS loves his big box of toys too and loves rummaging through it to find things to play with.
