oh Brenda, don't you just feel like there is NO pattern or reason to things?  That is what I am dealing with right now :(  The other day we had an AWESOME nap day and an AWESOME night...just woke up at 4 for a quick feed.  Yesterday we had an AWESOME nap day and a bad night and early wake up this morning...so frustrating.

I wouldn't THINK your little one got too much sleep during the day on that day, b/c you had said that she typically does 15.5-16.5 hr sleeps in a 24 hr period, right?

Exactly.
The last few nights have been better and she has done exactly the same thing each day. Which is to not nap very well but go to bed super early (6 ish) and sleep in until 8 with a feed in there.

Oh well. At least I'm getting sleep at night. I think I'm just going to relax a bit on the nap thing because nothing I do really makes a difference and really it's not that bad. I mean last night I got 7 hours uninterrupted sleep and then another 2 hours after that. I think she just needs less day sleep because she's getting so much at night and her nights are so long.

Maybe she will grow out of the short naps on her own in another month or so and of not then I'll be back on here to figure out how to transition to two naps
