Ok great, I put him down at about 2ish - too early I realized and he freaked so we played for a little while longer and he finally went to sleep at 2:35pm
He is just about 8mos....although he was a week late so I technically consider him already there lol!

sounds like you are mastering the routine tweaking already!!

8 months how lovely (or should I say hard work!!) I found 7 -8 months really hard cos they demand your time alot - practicing new skills and wanting mummy on hand 24/7 to assist, then there are the issues these new skilld bring to sleep times!! NW,EW are very common at this age!

Im just coming out of a bad patch and my LO is now 9 months and 1 wk - still NW but im coping better with it!!

your little man is a cutie!

Ok that nap was only 35min arghh!!!!  Oh well...bed time is 6:30pm regardless unless he shows signs any earlier.  Yes this age is dreadful!  So hard!  I agree....the wanting me 24/7 for assisting is in full force here and it is only adding to my tiredness lately.  I feel like sometimes I am running out of ways to entertain him and he just looks at me like - "is that all you got?" LOL!
Your family is too adorable with the hard hats :D
