So DD has been a great sleeper up until now. She started STTN around 4 months 7:30pm to 7:30am with a DF around 10 or 10:30. I did PU/PD around 3 1/2 months to help her learn to fall asleep on her own, and it worked great. But the last week or so it seems to have all gone out the window! She started waking once anytime from 2:30am to 5:30am. I don't feed her during these times because I don't want her to become used to that. But I could get her settled easily and she would sleep until wake time. She has been able to roll over both ways since 3.5 months, but has only recently started rolling from her tummy, which is how she sleeps, to her back in the middle of the night. She knows how to roll back, but seems to forget this or not make the connection to do this in the middle of the night. Anyways, I don't want keep going in and flipping her back to her tummy, but that seems to be the only thing that gets her settled. Last week when this happened, I just left her to it hoping she would just learn to sleep on her back. It worked that night, but now it doesn't. She goes from chattering happily to fussing, to full out screaming if I don't go in there and put her back on her tummy. So I have two questions - 1) why is she suddenly waking in the middle of the night when she STTN great before (she's not teething or anything like that), and 2) what do you suggest to help her get back to sleep without me flipping her back? Here is our EASY:
E - 7:30am

Now, the morning nap is usually no problem, she can get through 1.5 hrs about 75% of the time. The afternoon nap isn't always so good. Usually the opposite, about 25% of the time she can get through 1.5 hrs. On the days when she doesn't, its a 45 min nap, and I usually try to get two of these in before her catnap. Once in a while she will wake before the scheduled DF, sometimes as early as 9 pm. I settle her down and then don't feed her until the 10:30 time. Last night was the worst night so far. She woke at 2:30 and I left her to it hoping she would settle. Well, I fell asleep, and next thing I knew I was awakened at 5am by very loud screaming from her. Apparently she had been crying for a while and DH went in to settle her. I had no idea as I thought she fell asleep (I wear earplugs and have for over 10 yrs, so I didn't hear her crying). It's odd, because normally I can't get to sleep until I know she is asleep. Anyways, I had to cuddle her to get her settled. I put her back to sleep around 5:15am. Then she woke at 6am. I shh/patted her back asleep, she woke 10 mins later. I shh/patted longer this time, went back to sleep and then she finally woke about 7:15. Every time she had flipped on her back. Should I just bite the bullet and re-do PU/PD with her on her back? And what would cause her to wake in the first place? She has been rolling for two months, this is not a new skill she is trying out in the middle of the night, so I'm confused. Thanks for any advice!
