Avatar pic won't show up

I wanted to change my avatar but the picture isn't showing up... oddly enough, the pic I want is one that I posted in the photo gallery and it worked just fine there.  Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Quite often happens to me when my photo is too large...if you size it down a bit then it may show up!

Well that fixed it, thanks!  I've never had to resize it so small before to get it to go as an avvie, but now I know!  Thanks!  :-*
