ok so wee AG (6mo)has never been a great sleeper but the last few days have been a nightmare!!! She would usually go down about 7-8pm, wake once and need a resettle before her DF at 11pm then she would want a feed somewhere between 3-4am and then I would get her up at about 7'30am (she would sometimes wake around 2am but was easy to resettle). Though we thought by 6months she might have been STTN!
The last few nights she was woken between 2 and 4 times between going down and her DF.
The night before last she was woke 8 times between 6.30pm (when we had to put her down becuse she was so tired!) and 3.30am we ended up caving (forst time EVER) and giving her an extra feed because she was so worked up at about 9pm. She drank about 100mls and then I gave her her usual DF at 11pm (she didn't have all of it but made a dcent effort) and we finally fed her again at 3.30am then she slept through until 7.20am.
Last night she woke three times between going down at about 6.30 (maybe a bit sooner = she is SO tired because of crappy day and night sleeps that she wants to go to bed earlier and earlier each night but then wakes more and more and earlier and earlier!) and her DF at 11pm and then she slept till 3am and wouldn't resettle so we gave her her cut down feed (we have been cutting down then ammount she gets in the motnf so we can wean her off it and hopefully then she will take her morning bottle!) but she didn't even finish it! (we only had 60mls in the bottle!) She then needed resettled TWENTY times between then and 7am when I finally caved and fed her - but she didn't even want it!!! She took about 30mls and that was it. I changed her nappy and tried again - no joy. So call me a bad mother but I put her under her play gym and went back to bed! I got about 15mins of doze time before she wasn't happy to play on her own again. I tried feeding her again - nope. Let her play for another ten mins - still didn't want her bottle. I finally gave her solids = baby rice followed by apple - which she demolished and was happy as larry!
Her day time naps are a mess to but maybe that's for another board but i think you need the whole story here to be able to help me. We started leaving one arm out of her swaddle a week or two ago and she got used to that within 48hours and was doing her usual 45mins in the morning, 2hrs in the afternoon and 20mins in the evening but then about the same time as her night time feeds went to pot so did her naps - we get random 20min naps in the morning - 45mins - 1.5hours in the afternoon and 20mins in the evening. She can't stay awake as much and gets SERIOUSLY worked up if you don't get her what she wants when she wants it.
Just now I spent half an hour - 40mins getting her down for a nap with her screaming the whole time. It was early for her to go down (She'd only been up an hour and a half) but she was yawning her head off and rubbing her eyes like mad and starting to get grumpy so (trying to pay attention to her cues) I tried to put her down and she just started screaming! I checked both her hernias (twice!), had given her panadol and bongela before her previous nap for teething and couldn't give her any more, I checked her nappy, offered her more food nothing worked (the only thing I can think of is that she was holding out for solids but it wasn't time for them, I am only giving them three times a day - that's right isn't it?). In the end I gave her ibuprofen and five mins later she finally stopped screaming and fell asleep doing that heart breaking sobbing breathing in her sleep!

Any ideas??? I'm exhausted - am I being unrealistic in wanting her to STTN?
