Osteopath is not a bad idea Anna.  I have heard people say more than once it has helped with sleep. 

Yeah the last thing you want to do is to pay a sleep consultant who will just tell you Stan is teething lol

Good going Stan!  It's a nice reprieve and a small victory to be celebrated by EW momma's everywhere!

I know I'm got a ton of hormones going, but that really made me tear up when I read that.
You have the sweetest little boy Anna.

It is true, that now he knows. But, it is so hard for them when they are OT. I think just that little bit extra sleep last night helped him keep his wits about himself. Good idea mommy about staying quiet to see what he would do. Mommy was "sleeping" just like you've been telling Stan :)

I hope that is a step in the right direction.

I completely agree about waiting until the molars come out also. If this is still going in then it would probably be worth the money. I know we've contemplated a sleep consult as well over here a few times. But, usually just about when I'm really at my wits end things settle down again.

I totally forgot to ask how long he slept at nursery today  ::) so split the difference and had him in bed for 6.45 - after all, regardless how long he napped he was still up at 5.15. I suspect his nap was short because we had a few tears and a little trouble settling, but I think he's going off now... Fingers crossed for a peaceful night. He's got a tiny bit of a cold but near enough the only symptom is a really tickly cough when he's lying down.

I forgot to specifically say, that what made me tear up was Stan saying good job Robert. He seems really in tune to things like that. A few weeks back he made a similar comment that had a similar response. It's amazing how even when they are so young they want to be told what a good job they've done.

I hope he does well for you tomorrow. I sure hope these teeth come in quickly for you. We are almost done here.

Hey Jane, it was better! He woke up at 3.30am and my heart sank - for the past few weeks, NWs have taken 1+hrs to settle. But, he was quiet and I was back in bed within 10 mins. Then he slept til 6.10! Still way earlier than he was doing but that is much (MUCH) better and a longer night than he has had recently - 10.5hrs. He's at nursery today so I will do another 7pm bedtime.

Any thing after 6 is acceptable in our house :)  Of course later is better, but I don't set my sights too high.

Hi Anna, I have been following your post and have added a little here and there. My LO woke this morning again at 5.10am!
He was in his cot till 6am until I lifted him.
Today I have decided to do a set nap time of 12.30pm and a set bed time of 7.30pm.
I will try these two for a week and then evaluate how it is going. So although he woke at 5.10 I will not move his nap any earlier.
I will let you know if I have any success!

Hey Anna!

i got 5.20 this morning.i will do her nap at 12 which is just slightly earlier than usual.for me if i do an early nap it means early bed and then earlier wake up.

Nap here is usually 12.30, but I'd like him to sleep longer because he's had less than 11 hrs in 24 for days on end. I was thinking if I put him down at 11.30 (he will definitely sleep) I could let him sleep 2 hours and still keep 7-7.30pm bedtime. Whereas if I let him do 12.30-2.30 nap he'll only be at 4.5-5hrs A by bedtime. I just don't know ??? :( He's rubbing his eyes already. Looks soooo tired. And so do I ;) :P
