I just add water from his sippy cup while eating, so that it isn't too lumpy

Laughing cow cheese? Haven't tried it yet - not sure what I would spread it on as haven't done toast yet...

Not sure with the toast - but would think anytime really. But I'd be careful - I have friends whose LOs started with toast really early and it was hard to get them off it! No rush on the finger foods - Adam is quite young and really just might not be ready.
Didn't try the banana pie today - was out of eggs! So did avocado/pear instead at lunch and will try tomorrow.

Hey it's good that he's even picking them up/touching them. DS isn't too good at even that yet and DD had MAJOR texture issues at this age still (up until age 2 almost!)

BTW - tried it today at lunch and DS LOVED it. I mixed up an organic egg yolk with about an ounce of his formula (cause he was a little light so far for the day). I thinly sliced about 1/4 of a banana and fried that up some and then scrambled up the yolk/formula with it - making sort of a lumpiesh custard consistency. Thanks!

DS LOVES to drink water out of an open cut (that I hold for him or it will fly everywhere). He tries with a sippy and gets a bit out (I removed the valve for now) but mostly likes to chew on/bang with that. Also trying with a straw every now and again.
