6 mo with LONG NW- Mom is going crazy!
« on: January 27, 2010, 14:30:47 pm »
My DS has been waking up most nights this past week for about 2 hrs- between 3-5 am.  What could be causing this?  He is wide awake and wants to play= happy boy!  I tried to let him resttle, no luck.  Give him his paci, no luck.  When I go to leave the room he screams!  It usually happens after I have fed him- so I know he's not hungry...

Since Christmas, his naps have been terrible (morning 1-1.5 hours) , PM (45 minutes- won't go back down) and short catnap (although refused last night).  His A time is anywhere from 2 - 2.5 hours as I try to read his cues.  He began eating solids last month and seems to be OK with eat as I don't give him too much.  He is still swaddled and loves his paci although I don't always give it to him- only when he wants it.  He did have a cold last week but seems fine now.  He's been drooling for a few months but no signs of teeth!

Previous to Christmas he was a dream.  Napping 1.5 hours 2 times daily and catnap.  He would sleep 12 hours each night with dreamfeed and 1 night feed.  I'm going crazy...can't handle the regression and I'm feel like I don't know what to do anymore.  We have no family here to help and my husband and I need a break or a good night of sleep!

ANY suggestions would be appreciated as I really need some help.  Should I tackle soother and swaddle dependancies while this is all a mess anyhow?????  I can post today's routine tomorrow.

Thanks again,

Laura
