Waking Every Hour, never slept through, please help.
« on: February 03, 2010, 11:14:54 am »
Hi
This is a rough guide of Tylers day, can someone please help me, he's 10 weeks old.  Refuses to sleep in moses basket or cot bed, have tried swaddling, side positioners etc.  He does suffer quite bad with wind and is on colief, Dr brown bottles, colic calm, and comfort milk.  I am willing to try anything.  This is his day routine as his nights can change from waking every hour to sleeping for 3 hours, then awake every two.

0700 Eat
0800 Activity
0900 Sleep
1130 Eat
1200 Sleep
1400 Activity
1445 Sleep
1538 Eat
1600 Activity
1855 Eat
1945 Sleep
2120 Activity (Bath)
2145 Eat
2150 Sleep

then he was awake at 12, 2, then every hour before waking for the day at 7.  he doesn't cry when he wakes just wriggles like he is uncomfortable.

thanks.

It sounds to me like reflux is a possibility, have you looked into that?

Hi
The doctor has prescribed infant gaviscon for reflux so will try that and see how we get on, I know he seems to be wide awake for ages in the day.

That's great - one thing you can do to help right away is to elevate the crib mattress so LO doesn't lay flat.
