Question about posting
« on: February 08, 2010, 01:50:59 am »
None of my posts are ever labeled as "new" when I go back to look at them right after I post.  They're always way down on the list of posts (below older posts).  What am I doing wrong?

I had a peek at your posts and I think I have the answer....

1.  your post wouldn't be labeled as new because you've already looked at it.  It would be labeled as new to anyone who hadn't read it yet.

2.  If you look at the http://babywhispererforums.com/index.php?board=12.0 board, you'll notice that the threads have 2 different types of backgrounds:  regular blue & light blue; your most recent post has a light blue background.

The dark blue threads are "sticky" threads - they contain information that is rather helpful or supportive to many members.  Therefore, the mods 'sticky' it so that they always stay at the top of the board.

All the light blue threads are standard threads, and the most recently posted to will be at the top of the light-colored threads.

Hope this answers your question.  :)
