WI/WO question: For what type of crying should I go in?
« on: February 14, 2010, 03:03:21 am »
Hi,

I have been doing wi/wo for some time but I think I might be going too early. My son is 20 months and he screams mommy when he wakes up. They are mostly screams not disstressed cries. Should I wait until he is actually crying from distress or should I go in for the screams? Now that he knows I go in when he screams, he starts with screams.

Thank you
Deep

Hi,
Are you talking about waking in the morning or NWing?

ok well if it is NWing I would only go in if it is a 'mummy I need you' type cry. It is very difficult and the reason I asked is because DS does this when he wakes in the am and is very loud and shouty until we go in...
I think only you can judge when it is a kind of cry that needs attention or not...
Is he sick or teething right now? If not then by all means hang back a little and see if he really DOES need you or not. Keep us posted. bx
