is it too earlier to move to 4 hour easy
« on: February 15, 2010, 20:17:59 pm »
My DS is 12 weeks and he seems ready to move to a 4 hour easy.  His wake time is somewhere around 1h 30-45min. He naps about 1.5-2 hours and eats anywhere from 6-8oz at each feed.  I have already started the move from 3 to 4 and I noticed that his pm nap is starting to become more like 1 hour and a bit.  Is this normal?  Perhaps I'm moving him too quickly.  It's just he seems to go down for naps easier.

I would stick at 3.25 or 3.5 for a bit. To be on a solid 4hr EASY he really needs to manage 2hrs A time and 2hr naps with some consistency.

My DD is in a transitional phase where she eats every 4 hrs, with 1 hr 50 minutes wake time. To make up for the 10 less minutes of awake time she usually sleeps 2 hrs 10 minutes (so it's 1:50 + 2:10 = 4:00) or we have a bit of awake time before her bottle, to it goes EASAEAY sometimes.

I was told this is fine with transitional babies not quite at 2 hrs awake time, but not eating well before 4 hrs.
