I know this is an old post but wanted to let you know this as I went to the ped today.

He mentioned to me that as ds has been diagnosed as having a milk allergy that I can get the milk on prescription if I wanted to.

That said he did mention I whether I exercise that right or not is up to me. I got the impression that he is prescribing it because he has to not because he wants to!

I m so glad you're getting the scripts.  I am taking my spare tins to the HV at some point as i haven't a cluse what to do with them.  The chemist only takes them back to bin them so I really don't like this idea.  We've had to revert back to the old tins for a bit so a good job we still have them although the doc was offering me another prescription when I went last time for her chest infection - she's been refusing the new formula (stage 2) so doc said to go back to stage 1 for a while.

Can't believe your doctor's attitude.  Arghh!
