Tari-his nose is no longer running, he has a minor asthmatic cough, and seems to be feeling great. Other than molars coming in...
? I wonder if it is a cold weather eczema? The MD said that it looked like that last weekend when I took him in. DH has eczema on his hands. Now the rash is gone, I did give chocolate yesterday and no reaction...

Well hopefully it is from the cold weather and not an allergy, especially if he ate chocolate again.

Love the new avatar!

Cathie, just remember that if he has an intolerance to chocolate (for instance  to the amines in chocolate) effects take days to build up and come on quicker depending on how many days in a row he eats chocolate and how much.   Where an allergic reaction usually comes on in a number of hours and very easy to detect.    So there may be an amount of chocolate he can tolerate without reaction.  The only way you would know 100% what is going on is through a planned food challenge on elimination diet.  You may also be able to ge clue by increasing the amount of chocolate for a week or so and see if the rash comes back.

Ahh- that makes sense! I think I'll try increasing the amount of chocolate for a week- with the complexity and speed of my life lately, it may be the easier route, although maybe not ideal...thanks for all the support!
