20 mins is such a weird length of nap, not sure you can draw any conclusions from it.  Try 12:30 again and cross your fingers??

I was thinking the same thing.  Also, you mentioned teething.  Can you medicate today and see if that helps?

sorry things are still rough for you.Be wary of dropping that nap, remember what a mess i got in to!! what is he like at his 'usual' naptime?could he handle waiting for his nap? i think if it was D i would push her a bit then if he short naps its not too long to bed.....just an idea,im really not too sure :-*

We had weird day as I was at home this mrorning but had to leave for work before DS nap.  Mum put him down at 12ish as he seemed so whacked this morning and he slept.............. 30mins!!!!! Honestly I am fed up now!  Tomorrow I am off, I will give calpol at nap time just to see although it's never helped us before.

I will probably push nap back as nothing else is working although we were having problems with him going down before when we did that.  Who knows?!

Be wary of dropping that nap, remember what a mess i got in to
I know but you weren't having messed up stuff first!!!  How is Daisy now you are back from hols?

Laura, I would push the nap back too and then at least you don't have a long time until bed.  Huge hugs.  Sorry this is so tough.

My plan.... let me know what you think!

I am going to do nap time now between 12.45 and 1pm instead of 12noon ish.  I will do it for 5days or so to see what happens.  Failing this I am going to try no nap!!  I don't know what else to do and feel i am going round in circles.  I am telling you all so you can make me stick to it as I am very good at changing my mind mid morning!!!

Thank you for sticking with me, I know you are probably sick of listening to me moan.   :-*  :-*

He went down and asleep for 1pm good as gold (we have been having issues going down for naps).  Woke after an hour.  Not great but better than 20 or 30mins!  and obviously a little later in the day so we'll see what tonight brings!!

Last night - still giving him meds -
bed asleep 6.30pm w
NW 12.20am, gave meds - he didn't even get up for these, He was laying down and took them and I didn't even give him a cuddle, most odd but a good thing I think.  Probably took till 1am ish to get back to sleep
Today - carbon copy of yesterday (my mum had him) he slept an hr at 1pm....

Will see what happens tonight, I am doing one more night of meds and then going to try without over the weekend.  I would be happy with an hour nap and an 11-11.5hr night I just need the night to be straight through!!

I'm losing track of the nights now as I am SO knackered and if he is just quiet but not asleep then I don't hear him.  I think last night was something like...

asleep 6.40pm ish - he was a bit reluctant and this is the issue I'll have with the later nap now - I'm not adverse to a later bedtime if he slept through but an early night is the ONLY way I can get any extra sleep into him.
Awake 2.30am (probably a while before) gave meds.  He did go back to sleep before 3.30am but I don't know when as I fell asleep!
Woke (again not sure) probably around 6.15am

We'll have to see what today brings.... nap will be at 1ish and tonight he is going without meds..... SO lots of fingers and toes crossed and many many many sleep vibes our way please!

Update... he wouldn't go down at 1pm today!  What do I deduce from that do you think??
