Implementing EASY for a 5 month old
« on: February 21, 2010, 21:34:32 pm »
Greeting ladies, my son William 5 months old and every night it's a battle to get him to sleep. My husband and I are at a lost for what to do, we tried the CIO method to no avail and are looking for something to help us. He is now 5 months old, or will be in three days and I want to try and implement the EASY routine. My husband is getting fed up with him and gets angry easy so I don't think he will be much help. What do I need to do to start the ball rolling.

Hi there, first of all I recommend you get Tracy's books as they explain in great detail what we cant really do here, you will get a much better grasp of the whole process with the books.

first of all a few questions:
what do his days look like now?
does he have a prop?
does he have any medical issues?

I found that once I started with the BW routine (around 4 months) DS was a different baby - going from screaming himself to sleep etc to a contented baby who now goes immediately to sleep when he goes in his cot.  Persevere with the routine and you will get there! I found that sticking to the feeding times more or less was the key to success. PUPD worked well for us - really tough 1st day, better the 2nd then that was it!

Good luck :0)
L x Having a bw break from 1 Feb 2012 - if you want to get in touch please send me a pm.  I may not be here but you are all in my thoughts xxxx (probably be back some time)

still happily married, just not counting!
