We did 'tough love' for Louis' nw's, it wasnt easy and it might not sound very bw but it worked!

He always slept brilliantly for anyone else too........

If you do go that route just remind yourself constantly that youre not just leaving him to cry himself to sleep

I really do think that its worth trying after everything you've been through

Mini NW 4:50
A 5:20... we *think* he went back to sleep at 4:50 but not certain, either way its better than 4:30, and he stayed in his bed until 6am when we turned on the light to get him. We're doing 6pmbed, so will turn the light on at 6am. In 2weeks that'll be a good 7pm,7am routine when the clocks go forward. :) xx

Julianne, I am sorry because I haven't read the whole thread and I don't have a minute atm. :-[ But i wanted to tell you that when we went through EW's in the 4-5 am hour, we still pushed for 1 nap and that is the only way we got rid of them.  We just left him in his crib until 6 and then started the day then.  If he started freaking out before that, I sshh'd him, but still wouldn't get him until 6.

Big hugs hun, it sounds like you're doing a good job.  The *only* thing I noticed (although I admit I didn't read every one of your sleep diary thingys  :P) was at Grandma's, and correct me if I'm wrong, he did a much longer A time before bed.  I don't know if this is managable on a day to day basis without getting him OT but it was just a thought.  I guess though it's a catch 22, he needs a good night to be able to cope with increased A times.  :-\

Just thought I'd throw that out there.  :-*

6:30am! 12hrs15mins sleep!! Yay!! He was sohappy when I turned on his light then went in, I said "you were such a good boy. You had nice sleep in your new bed, and waited for the light!" He grinned and said "yaya" which is his yes. Lol. And then I said "let's open the curtains and see if any other boys have been good"... yep, took the blackout blind down! So we opened his new curtains and looked at the houses across the road to see if any other boys lights had come on too, and I told him they had been very good boys and were getting up now with their mummies too! He thought that bit was great lol. He's so much happier already and we've only been up 15mins :D

Should I limit his sleep to an hr today? Otherwise I think hell get too much and be up early again tomorrow.xx

Lol  same here, i barely slept lastnight, the one night T does past 12hrs and i bet he wont do it again for ages now lol.

Think I'll put him down for a nap at 12-1pm and bed at 6:30pm.

Blimey I'm desperate to tell everyone! My Mum's coming over at 1pm, I have 4 sisters, and there's all OH's huge family to tell. And I can't even change my Facebook status to "engaged" until all the family have been told AARGH!! Lol.

I could explode with all this with-holding information! They don't know we're TTC#2 either! :o xx

Ah congratulations  :D  :D

on the sleep issue, i wonder what's changed  ??? just so you can keep replicating!

Of course you know T best but i might be tempted to give him a nudge at 1hr and if he's not happy about being woken then let him have another 15 mins.  I'd hate for him to get OT again....

Well my Mum will be here at 1 so he's getting up whether he likes it or not lol. He seems fine doing an A of 6hrs in PM so a 1hr nap and 5.5A should be fine for him.

Yesterday we took him ice skating for the first time, then to a play centre and wore him out. Think that helped to make him sleep longer!! Maybe he needs less daytime sleep and more activity than I thought... hmm xx

Congratulations - on both the engagement and the 12h night, lol!  Hope he had a nap in the end, and that you had fun telling your family.  The big question is, did you tell them about the engagement first or the full night's sleep? ;P
