Poor thing probably had quite a bit of stranger anxiety as well as I guess they were people you don't see too often.

Understand about the seizure thing. I have never heard of any type of epilepsy that makes babies cry in their sleep - but it really is very common. My DS does it as well STILL and it is very annoying as it wakes me up  ::). Hope it all works out OK for you both though  :-* :-*.

I'm guessing that first nap was a bit on the UT side - what do you think?

Did she seem tired when you went for that second nap?

Rest was OT - but you knew that  ;).

((hugs))

we dont see much of anyone lol we live far from the extremely little family we do have...and i dont have ONE friend that lives close anymore. my two best friends lived here before i got pregnant but they ended up moving back to Boston and now i wish we could too but we just cant afford it. i HATE this city!!! we are in the ghetto...im so ed too b/c i had a radio outside in our screen house and what do you know someone stole it. this is private property and yet every and anything i have in my own back yard gets stolen! including my patio set! how did they walk away with my table and chairs without anyone noticing!! oh do i hate it here...the plan is to move out before DD turns 5..anyways...

ya know i dont know what to think anymore lol its like she yawns and it means nothing even rubbing her eyes! i mean come on im trying so hard here to find out what will work for her and ive got nothing!
she never seems tired after a short nap thats the toughest part. now that shes older especially she seems to want to be up 3 hours after a 30 min nap! i know its b/c shes OT but its like im fighting and fighting to try and get her to sleep and its doing nothing!
btw DD is belly sleeping now and she cant seem to get back on her back if she wants to so we are having NWs like crazy...its hard to get her back to sleep after i flip her over too...
also want to mention that even after a 2nd nap is only 30 mins and she was up for 3 hours she wakes up happy.

so she woke up at 7 E
8:50 yawned and rubbed eyes
9:05 i p/d and she went right to sleep
9:35 awake
10:30 E (so i could p/d at 11:10)
11:10 p/d talked to herself for 20 mins...started crying i patted her for 30 mins acted like she was going to dose off eyes were shut and everything and then bam wide awake! would not resettle i took her out for 10 mins and tried again for 20 mins and she would not sleep!
1:10pm S (in buggy we walked to the park)
woke up at 30 min mark so i started walking again
2:20 awake
2:30 E
2:50 A
4:30 S (was trying before that)
now idk when she slept to b/c it was on the couch with me (3rd nap) and i fell asleep...i woke up at 5:40 and she was watching tv...the second i opened my eyes she was hysterical and only calmed down once i gave her a massage.
6:30 E
7 S

so what do you think longer first A maybe? i am like at my wits end over here! by weeks shes 6 m/o now!!! where are my long naps lol

Yes I would extend that first A - I'm pretty sure she is UT napping at that point as well. I would try PD at 2h 15 and see, and we will slowly move to 2h 30 from there and see if that helps.

If she short naps for the first nap I think I would do a 2h PD after that as well really as 1h 30 is not helping at all  :).

I mean Tracey did mention in one book that a very spirited LO might always short nap in the morning, so with that in mind we need to try and work on the 2 naps I think.

I really can see a lot of familiarity in this routine mess between your DD and my DS at the same age.

ok so we will try for that then. thats good there is familiarity when did you guys figure it out?
shes got a wicked cold right now that sprang out of nowhere too..she was up ALOT last night poor thing can't breathe.
she was up at 7:30 so we will try for 9:45 p/d will let you kow how it goes!

as for short AM nap i was kind of figuring that when she was doing the 1hr 20 min naps which i thought were great lol but they seem to have dissapeared.

so i put her down at 9:40 b/c she seemed like she was noddin off and it backfired wicked bad and she was whining and whining (idk if she picked this up from our dog? omg its annoying lol) so at 10:05 i finally went in and shes looking around then she sees me and starts going ah ah ah ah ah so i took her out...im going to try again but have a feeling im screwed now!
so idk if i should feed her before we try for a nap?
im probably going to but i still have to do my taxes to so maybe i will just go do that since todays already screwed up. ill check in later and let you know what happened lol

Yeah - 1h 20 naps may very well be her best really.

J was about 6 mths when we started to settle things down, and he has been much easier since then. Actually became a very good napper - but his night sleep has always been very variable.

Hope your LO feels better soon. I often used to run errands on days when things were screwed anyway  ;).

For future reference I would feed early if you think hunger will wake her from a nap.

LOVE the new avatar as well - very lovely. My DS always signs bear to me when he sees a little baby  :).

Sounds like it is catching then - I lost count of how many times I heard DS between the hours of 4.30am and 6am.

Mama is NOT happy  :(.

Fingers crossed anyway though Kami  :-*

so today sucked lol

7 E
9:15 S
9:40 awake
11:00 E
11:20A
...didnt sleep until 12:45...
in the wrap (we had to go back to the tax man)
2:00 awake
2:15 E (she was crying and we were almost done so i fed her to keep her happy...)
didnt sleep until 4:30...with me in the bed after screaming hysterically for a good 15 mins or so...
6:00 i woke her up so her bedtime wouldnt be too late
6:00 E
6:20 A
8:00 S she went down without a fuss

i try to get her to sleep earlier and she seems to flip out idk if its b/c shes OT or protesting or what.

so im thinking maybe longer A time tommorrow? we had a shorter than 30 min nap today...

Yeah - as long as your night wasn't dreadful I would perhps do 2h 20 with a view to moving towards 2h 30.

well i went for the refferal for the neurologist anyways. they will have to do a sleep study on me...idk how thats going to work with DD nursing at night still...pumping is really difficult for me..

so to my amazement DD had ONE 30 MIN NAP all day long! yet somehow she did not have a breakdown or cry...in fact she hardly cried at all today...i dont understand it for the life of me i kept "preparing" myself for complete hysteria and it just didnt happen...
her father is giving her a bath now and then im going to get her to bed

im expecting a bad night but who knows anymore lol
