Here are some recipes for edible play dough--several of which are actually meant to be eaten.  We've done the one with peanutbutter and marshmallow cream--which doesn't sound like it would work, but does and tastes yummy.  Made a fun play date to play with for a bit and then eat as a snack. :)

jo - the recipe i actually use is the one that comes on the cream of tartar container (only 1 kind i have ever seen in aussie supermarkets) - it is where the baking soda and powder is

thanks ladies, i tried one from the above website, seems pretty good, will also check out the tartar one in the supermarkets
