ok,so fast asleep in minutes for 7pm,no fuss so im sure we arnt OT to bed.

we have toddler grp tomorrow morning so its going to be 11.30 at least b4 i can get her to bed.Do you think i should go back to the 6 hr A now she seems caught up or drop her down to 5.5? its on my mind that maybe the 6 hr A has gotten her super OT hence this mess now.

That's a tough one... I guess tomorrow you'll have no choice - unless she sleeps in for you.

I'm guessing you get slightly better naps with the 6hr A time?  I don't know what is better in the long run, a longer A and a better nap or a shorter A and a shorter nap.  I think you just came unstuck after you had that long night and then tried to put her down at 4.5hrs A time and then she refused and it turned into a battle of wills.

If it was working at 6hrs (other than that iffy day) then maybe that's what you should do.

Hey Laura.im sure you are right bout the battle of wills! But then which turned into OT.This last week i have dropped her A time right down to 5/5.5 and have got the same lenth of nap as i would have with  6 HR A but maybe thats due to the OT?

she has semmed to have swapped around to a shorter A to nap and a longer A to bed.on that good day she had done:6am,11-12.45 nap,7pm bed and that was when i got the 6.30 wake up the next morning! maybe it has just worked with her being so tired i dont know. She did another 5.5 A today to nap and a 6.5 to bed.

Copy your good day then.  If she wakes later though I would reconsider the A time so you don't get a repeat of the bad day!!

Yay for the fab morning! Wow she's a fast learner! It took Stan MONTHS to get the idea. If you get to the stage when you're moving your lights later and later, she'll be able to catch up on OT by just going back to sleep. :-* ;)

i know Anna!! i cant believe how well she is doing.i just need her to go back to sleep now when she wakes instead of chatting! maybe i need to push her bedtime a bit,i cant really expect more than 11 hrs and she is asleep for 7pm.

laura it was 11.20 nap so a 5.5 A,i think i am going to need to go back to 6 hr now..you think?

I think to get the longer nap yes... then bedtime can go back a bed too if that's what you want.  Or just wait till BST begins!

I agree Lucy - J needs 6hrs for a decent nap if he is well rested.
