Hello Ladies
I thought i would share my success, with my 13 week DS. Who is/has been a serial 45 min napper. Ye ha it is only the first day but i have managed to keep him asleep for his whole nap
.
Here is how i did it, for anyone who is interested. I have been doing the Wake 2 Sleep technique, which has been exactly what my LO needed to help him get through to stage and it has worked wonder.
After being awake for 1 hour and 15 mins (have been tweaking awake time for a week now) i then pick him up and carry him around for the final 15 mins, so he can still look around but be relaxed at the same time. When the second yawn come (the big one, which looks like he is swallowing his face LOL) i take him upstairs swaddle him fully (even though he is a tummy sleeper, i have a monitor which attaches to his nappy, this monitors his breathing. which is peace of mind.) and straight into bed, with his dummy. Within 5 mins he is sleeping. As soon as sleep kicks in, i take note of the time, after 30 mins i go into his room and gently stroke his head until he stirs and put his dummy back into his mouth (by doing this he gently comes out of a deep sleep) i then pat his back for about 10 mins until i can see that his back int a deep sleep. AND IT HAS WORKED FOR ALL HIS NAPS!!!!!!!
I am soo chuffed
Good luck to everyone who has a 45 min napper, this might not work for you. But there is light at the end of every tunnel.
Well i almost did it!! got carried away writing this and i missed his 30 min window, and now he is up early but never mind we can't have everything can we
