Hi everyone!

My daughter has been a 40-minutes' sleeper since 2 months' age. I was desperate at start, but then managed to prolong her naps with shh/pat techniques I learned from Tracy's book. Things changed for the better. At around 10 months I switched to breastfeeding to get her nap time last from 40 minutes to 1hr 40 minutes. It was great for me and for her also!! we both enjoyed our sleeping time, it was a big difference really. that worked well for us.

Now she's 20 months old and I am on the way to weaning in few months due to pregnancy. The problem is she still wakes just after 40 minutes napping. and I know sometimes I'll be lucky to get her down to sleep just cuddling and whispering to her, but most of the times she'll refuse to go back to sleep without breast.

I know that's her nature, but everytime it's very tiring for me to have these little 40 minutes of nap. And besides, it doesn't affact our bedtime - it stays the same no matter how long she sleeps at day, 40 mins or 2 hrs.

I just wonder is there anybody else struggling with the same thing?

bumping this up for you to catch more eyes :)

Could you post what your LO's typical routine looks like?  Morning wake time, nap time, bed time?
