Kirry, I saw you posted about vegetable oil; I cut that too when doing soy/dairy free.  I use safflower or sunflower oils.  Safflower is much cheaper.

We have done gf trials before, but doing a longer trial one more time to ease my mind.  Lots of good ideas!

Kirry - is there any formula you can get over the counter?

This one over here is ok for almost all babies that have reflux do to milk protein allergy:

It's the one I'm going to try when I get my nerve up.

Yep we did alimentum, too.  Only formula that worked for us was hypoallergenic, and it was in the formula aisle.  There are other brands that are hypoallergenic that seem to be a bit cheaper, I think.  Alimentum is expensive.  So, if your dr wants you to use it or suggests it, then maybe the insurance will cover it or part of it.  ;-)  Our dr actually had two sample cans they gave us; but it sounds like Kirry's doc may not be game.

there are over the counter hypoallergenic ones that are partially hydrolised (so proteins are only partially broken down), so will talk to gp about whether he thinks that is an option or not, if not will just go for neocate i guess which is prescription only.

thanks for all the supply tips, may start switching domperidone for fenugreek gradually. oatmeal might be one of the first 'gluten' foods i trial too.

elo, calcium supplement is Caltrate.

ogran rice and corn spaghetti noodles (great for filling out soups)

mr lee's kitchen asian rice noodles (in cold section with pastas at woolies)

dh found a sorbet with no vegetable gum too and the glucose is from maize (woolies)
gelativo strawberry sorbet

Grilled fish and hot chips is a good one that I give my kids.  Or go out for breakfast, so you can have bacon and eggs (cooked in oil not butter etc).

DD had the high white blood count in the stool, she also showed inflammation when her bowel was examined by ultrasound, and, later, endoscopy.

I found this page that I printed a while ago when going gluten free.

http://www.gicare.com/diets/gluten-free.aspx  Perhaps there will be nothing new for anyone there.

Australian mums looking for ice blocks for their LOs for the summer: I found a range of ice blocks called Smooze  - coconut milk and fruit flavours, you store them in the cupboard and pop some in the freezer for when you want them. Great because my freezer is always full! Passed the taste test of my 6 year old.

Dairy and soy free, natural flavours, no artificial colours etc.

I found them in Coles near the section with the fruit snacks etc with the other cupboard ice treats (not in the frozen goods). I got pineapple and coconut, there's also mango and coconut and a couple of other flavours (in the larger Coles)

The nice thing to know is the safe for the mayonnaise, and I've known that this is the best food that could be great substitute into other brand to be needed. This is safe during the pregnancy.
