hi, me again... ;)

so after our last posts, things had been great, NO EW's, until this morning!!! 515am, where she had been going 7pm to 630/645 wihtout a single stirring.....

here was EASY for the day before.
WU: 640
E bottle 7am solids 830
A 640 to 1015ish
S 1 hour 25

E 1145 solids 1 pm and the bottle again just before nap as it was so 3.5 hour easy roughly here as she wa wakign hungry! adn crying for her bottle berfore her nap
A 1140 to 315-320;sh
S only 45 min, had been doing 1hour10

E 5pm dinner
A 4 to 7's bedtime
S 7 to 515

hmmm, what went wrong? short pm nap? and then an early wake, eek!
2nd question, today she was awak from 515am and DID not return to sleep and i put her down at 10am, so A time was long, but she still gave 1 hour 25 sleep!?

i am definitely going to keep the long A time before her am sleep as i think she rolls better this way and doesnt always need a long A time before bed, what is the normal A time before pm na gets shorter and shorter??
thank you so much xx

Hi there,
Glad to hear things are going well! Sounds like you hit a bump in the road. Let's see if we can figure it out.

Her first A time looks really good. 1 hour and 25 minutes should be restorative enough to get through the next A.

I think what she needs is a longer second A time. If the first A time was 3 hours and 35 minutes ..and it gave you an hour and 25..followed by 3 hours and 30 minute A time..she wasn't quite tired enough to continue sleeping, yk?

However, 3 hours of A time should be okay on 45 minutes. Maybe it's a little bit too  much for her.

Did she wake up crying in the morning? Happy?
How is her day today?

hello

thank you so much for gettign back to me!

she went down last nite at 715 ( 10 min later than normal as she really wasnt tired!) and it took her aprox 10 min to fall asleep, normally she is out like a light.
she woke at520am, zzzzzzzzzzz and dint go back to slee, she never cires in the morning, just hums and bangs on her cot with movement. so we bought her into our bed at 630am and she went down at 1015, so A time 3 45, tho she really didnt seem tired again!

if i increase her mid A time, what time woud i be utting her down? like 345pm or 4m? is this not too late? we dotn want her bed time to be really much later than 715/730pm.....do i cut her pm sleep?

am confused, she just doesnt seem tired! xx

Sounds like she's starting the 2-1 a bit early. Monitor it for a few days and see if she continues to give you EWs..

There's a few options:
1) Keep her A time the same or smaller for the morning so she gives you a short nap on her own
2) cut the short nap to 1 hr or less
3) keep the afternoon A to the same (meaning don't increase it) and let her give you a short nap on her own
4) cut her second nap after extending her mid day A

Do these make sense? So basically, we're cutting her daytime sleep so she can make up that sleep at night.

Let me know what you think :)

huh? What do you mean u at 6:30?

No you would need to add a catnap and then push bedtime later. you could try your 20 minutes..it should suffice to an early bedtime.

o sorry my error, meanign she was awake at 515 for her EW but officically 'up' out of her cot at 630am.

so i am a bit confused....i woud still like her to kee the long am sleep, so i cut her afternoon sleep to 30 min? or put her down at same time and she will just wake up UT? tho this is kinda whats hapening, and she is EWing me! ;) ?? thank you

yup she's EW bc, I suspect, she's not getting enough A time during the day. Or she's getting too much sleep. However, the fact that she only got a long nap and a 45 minute nap makes me suspect it's more A related.

Make sense? It'll take some trial and error...but you're getting the hang of it!

Keep up the good work, mummy. Chat soon.
