Yes, yes... perseverance is key :D

The last A was 2.10,so that was too long & he was OT by the time he went to sleep, so, maybe try & decrease A times as the day progresses, like by 5~10 mins with each A.

For now, you can go on to have 3 long naps & one CN,as Jay's A times become longer the naps will be less, but that will take time. Have a look @ the 2nd example on this link:

Hope you guys have a better day today :-*

Another question

If his nap is 1.5hrs and he wake at 30 or 45 mins, and it take 20mins to get him back to sleep.  Do i include the time to resettle in his nap time, or do i add the remainder of the nap time on top?

I'd add the remainder of his nap time, so 30 mins nap, 20 mins to resettle & then 50 mins, would be total nap of 80 mins.

Well Yazzie, we are on the up  ;D

Things are not perfect, but i am sure we are not far away.  Jay is still not STTH but the night wakings are becoming fewer, And his day time naps are improving, some throughout some 45mins and some 30  8)

So i will give him a chance to settle down, then you can look at his EASY to see if we are on the right track.

Well its all gone pear shaped again, so going to take a couple of days off and monitor him, to see if i can find his biorythim.  Think i may have got both of us on the wrong path.

Jay is barley showing any cues when i would expect to see them, and i may not be reading him properly.

I will keep you posted

wish me luck

It does take time, took me quite a while to figure out Adam's cues & although I spent almost the first 7 months of his life doing nothing but that, I still got it wrong sometimes.

Do you know his temperament?

Yeh he is Textbook with a little Angel too.

I am finding, he is not yawning and rubbing his eyes when i would expect him too - not doing at all!!!
He used to show his cues when i was doing his wind down, but now nothing.

He is still have night wakings, roughly every 3 hours - not sure if this is hunger, as he never cries for his food.  And is not crying in the night just cooing away to himself, but can't re-settle.

He has now decided he prefers to sleep on his back, so he is not rolling over at night now  ;D.

Or is this a age thing, as i have read loads of post with sleeping and nap issues at about 4 and a half month?

I just feel as if i don't understand him fully.

I just can't seem to get past the 30min nap, no matter what i do - spending all my time in his room.  Which i was so pleased to have got past that stage when he was about 3 months old, from pure hard work sleep training, but we got there in the end, and now i am back there again, what do they say "take 2 steps forward and 3 steps back"

Boy this is such hard work  8)

:)..Lots of work, not easy being a mum, but so worth it :)

I guess it's developmental, as we also had lots of issues @ this stage, this is also the stage @ which you start working on teh transition to 4hr EASY.

Could you post today's routine to have a better idea, also have you tired W2S?

@ this age, Jay should start having 5-6 hrs stretches of sleep @ night, is this happening?

I will post tomorrows, did not manage to get everything noted down!

Jay is sleeping 5-6 hours from 7pm till 12.30 with a dream feed at 10pm - then sleeps till 3.30am should i be feeding him then? i have not been.

I will try W2S again, i had done this when i was sleep training- do you think i need to star the process over again?
