Hi there
not too sure what is going on with my lo, i think she needs more A time but need clarification, this was written on a previous post that i had posted, and this was her routine not yesterday the day before
I think with the 2-1 transition i will aim for a long Am nap and cut out the CN completely as she has always been able to extend her AM A time better and quicker than the PM. i was getting a good AM nap at 3 hour 45 min A, but over the past 3 days at this she has given me 2 short naps for the AM
just an update of the last 2 days which were the same
6.30am wake, got up at 7am feed bottle
8.30am breakfast
10.15am sleep, but was fighting and went to sleep at 10.25am (3 hour 50 A)
11.35am wake (1 hour 10 min nap UT??)
12.00pm lunch
2.00pm feed bottle
3.15pm sleep (3 hour 40 A) was shorter due to short nap
4.00pm wake (45 min nap even though earlier nap was short always takes 45 min here no matter what the prev nap was)
4.30pm dinner
6.45pm feed bottle, and in bed by 7.15pm
STTN, but woke at 6am so thats only 10 hour 45 min sleep, so let her be and then she went back to sleep and woke at 6.45am.
todays routine
6.45am wake feed
10.35am sleep (1 hour 10 nap) (3 hour 50 A)
11.45am wake feed
3.45pm sleep (45 min nap, took about 5 min to fall asleep) (4 hour 5 min A)
4.35pm wake feed
7.35pm sleep (3 hour A time)
i really need some help here, with only a 1 hour 10 min nap and a 45 min CN is only 1 hour 55 min of day time sleep), i really need her to take a longer NAP. She seems fine during the day and not grumpy or restless even though she takes a 1 hour 10 min nap, she always manages to take more A time in big jumps and does not get OT that much. but im finding she is waking up at 6 instead of 7am, and when she goes down for her AM nap she is laughing and kicking as if its a game, so i think is she tired or not, as i think she is up for so long she needs to go down, or maybe im miss interpreting her and thinking she is tired when she could maybe handle some more A time.
what should i do here, i dont want her to get in an OT cycle if possible cos she is short napping, she has always beena terrific napper during the day and takes 2 hour AM nap and a 45 min nap, but i know she is heading in the 2-1 transistion and her naps go wonky, but where should i increase her A time? and for how much? if this is what i need to do?
thanks kirsten
